Distributed virtual machine placement based on dependability in data centers

摘要: One of primary and challenging difficulties in placing virtual machine (VM) onto physical machines a cloud data center, is to balance the interests both service providers (CSPs) tenants, which are often expressed as minimizing number power-on servers improving user experience respectively. However, current research on VMP try gathering requested VMs fewest possible activated PMs for purpose reducing machines, without taking tenants account. In this study, we define formulate problem design strategy named Dependability based Distributed Virtual Machine Placement algorithm (D2VMP), with placement goals energy efficiency dependability. To maintain dependability requests D2VMP limits from same request assigned each machine. Furthermore, ensure minimize propose divide center into several clusters, thus, different can reuse clusters. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed effectively lower devices service-dependability.
