摘要: A system was developed for scoring oral mucositis in order to investigate its connection with fever and bacteraemia due 'viridans' streptococci. series of 42 allogeneic bone marrow transplant recipients given demethoxydaunorubicin total body irradiation conditioning therapy were monitored daily the presence lesions, erythema, oedema, pain dysphagia, each which graded numerically at four levels. These values added together yield a score (DMS) scale 0-15. Mucositis shortly after progressed within few days grade III (WHO 3-4) majority patients. Bacteraemia streptococci documented 64% cases organisms first detected as approached peak. The WHO scheme defined either absent or 3-4 corresponding DMS 4 5, whereas grading based on most pronounced sign symptom resulted three grades severity corresponded less than equal 4, 5-9 greater 10 respectively. However, only permitted monitoring through all stages development. therefore offers potential exploring causal relationships between mucosal damage, granulocytopenia, can be included an independent measure studies prevention complications related mucositis.
