摘要: Life-cycle assessment (LCA) has been applied to many biofuel and bioenergy systems determine potential environmental impacts, but the conclusions have varied. Different methodologies processes for conducting LCA of biofuels make results difficult compare, in-turn making it best possible informed decision. Of particular importance are wide variability in country-specific conditions, modeling assumptions, data quality, chosen impact categories indicators, scale production, system boundaries, co-product allocation. This study a double purpose: critical evaluation comparing from several conversion pathways countries Pan American region using both qualitative quantitative analyses, recommendations harmonization with respect features, such as inventory data, reporting practices. The management implications discussed within context different national international regulatory environments case study. this highlight methodology choices that cause high limit comparability among studies, even same pathway, provided improvement.
