摘要: The purpose of this study was to analyse and describe vocalizations a solitary subterranean rodent, Ctenomys talarum. In adult C. talarum five different sounds (four true one mechanical sound) were recorded during behavioural contexts. Using data from the laboratory literature, we classified these as territorial, distress, mating calls. We found that vocalization range in is shifted towards low frequencies, which transmit better underground burrows match well hearing described for other species rodents. These low-frequency vocalizations, also non-related rodents, may reflect an adaptation acoustic conditions habitat.
