摘要: Objective: Analysis of the effects a comprehensive focal spasticity program in adult patients. Design: Retrospective study an out-patient cohort. Patients: One hundred patients were enrolled (54 men and 46 women, mean age 41 years (SD 14). Cerebral palsy stroke equally common (80% total). The remaining had miscellaneous diagnoses, including traumatic brain injury. Methods: On average 230 units 101) botulinum toxin A Botox † was given for 227 principal therapy targets chosen by patient or caregiver. could have several therapy. Administration combined with 260 additional therapeutic interventions, most which forms physical assessed after 6 weeks compared baseline functional abilities 1 /2 prior to Results: Improvement observed 211 (93%) targets, no change 15 (7%), impairment 1, corresponding overall improvement 90 (90%), 9 unchanged (9%) worsening 1. Spasticity assessment (Ashworth scale 0 /4; 30 patients) showed statistically significant (median at 3 vs 2 therapy, difference 1.2, p B /0.001). Conclusion: ] /90% their cohort receiving first treatment strict strategy selection management followed.
