摘要: Although the presence of blood-brain barrier in mammalian organisms was discovered early 1900s, its precise structure and drug transporter proteins localized were identified only last decades. Beside ATP-binding cassette responsible for protection brain, Solute Carrier transporters play also an important role function central nervous system by feeding, energy supply cleaning during metabolism. This review provides overview on main types located their localization different cell techniques investigation. In second part this article various neurodegenerative disorders pathology-related are presented. light recent experimental results new therapeutic strategies may come into focus research treatment currently without effective therapy.
