摘要: Two hundred bacterial strains were isolated from the soil around healthy tomato plants in a polyvinyl house, where most of other showed wilt symptoms. The screened vitro for their antibacterial activity. Among them, strain, KPB3 strong bactericidal activity against pathogen, Ralstonia solanacearum. strain was identified using physiological and biochemical tests, 16S rRNA analyses. Based on these found to be closer genus Paenibacillus. To control caused by R. solanacearum, greenhouse experiments conducted determine effectiveness Paenibacillus KPB3. Drench application this (4×10? CFU ㎖?¹) into pots containing plants, post-inoculated with solanacearum could drastically reduce disease severity, compared non-treated plants. evaluate under field conditions, carried out houses infested during spring autumn year 2006. It observed that, spring, more prevalent autumn. During 50.9% incidences occurred controls, while, treated 24.6% incidences. Similarly, autumn, 17.2% infected non- houses, which 7.0% These results demonstrated is potential biological agent effective as well conditions. This first report showing biocontrol spp. (Received October 23, 2006; accepted December 2006)
