摘要: The review highlights the fundamentals and most prominent achievements in field of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) column development over a period nearly 50 years. After short introduction on structure function HPLC columns, first part treats major steps processes manufacture particle packed column: synthesis control morphology, sizing size analysis, packing procedures performance characterization. next section is devoted to three subjects, which reflect recent main future directions columns: minimum packing, totally porous vs. core/shell particles miniaturization. In last an analysis given alternative columns-monolithic have gained considerable attraction. challenges are: improved design based modeling simulation for targeted applications, enhanced robustness reproducibility monolithic columns. miniaturization, particularly chip-based nano-LC systems, monoliths offer great potential separation complex mixtures e.g. life science.
