摘要: A program was designed to teach interpersonal skills mentally retarded individuals in order facilitate their vocational adjustment and prevent job termination. Thirty-five young adults were randomly assigned a skills-training, coaching, or no-treatment control group. The skills-training coaching groups met for 12 sessions 6 follow-up meetings. group learned appropriate ways of responding difficult work-related situations. Modeling, behavioral rehearsal the treatment procedures. discussed same situations; however, modeling not employed. Results indicated that improved skills, social competence, problem behavior, length employment. Some positive changes noted results provide support training prior community placement.
