摘要: Surface and groundwater chemistry being an important factor in urban planning infrastructure development, present paper tries to the problems of corrosiveness due Mekelle city. Iron corrosion distribution systems engineering structures are common many areas. Corrosiveness at different localities its environs has been evaluated on basis AAS-UV spectrophotometer-generated hydro-geochemical data. water was estimated by using indices like Larson Index, LI Aggressive AI total dissolved solids, carbonate hardness, chloride sulphate data were estimate aggressiveness samples iron pipes. Analyses results have shown that most from boreholes hand dug wells compared spring samples, potentially aggressive. The result shows 66.7% spring, 81.3% shallow 81% borehole a index (LI) above 0.5, threshold water. This study highlights basic characteristics surface potential hazard for pipes, provides baseline information awareness city planners management.
