摘要: Cribriform-morular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (CMV-PTC) is a rare morphologic entity. This tumor usually associated with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), but rarely may be sporadic. neoplasm commonly occurs in young females. The majority patients present gradually enlarging painless neck mass. There no specific imaging finding CMV-PTC, and the diagnosis exclusively made on pathologic examination. A multitude cytologic features CMV-PTC are described, which includes hypercellularity, cribriform pattern, arrangement tall columnar cells, morules, spindle clear ground-glass nuclei, hyaline material, hemosiderin-laden histiocytes, absence colloid background. histologically characterized by growth pattern without colloid, squamoid nuclear clearing. immunoreactivity for beta-catenin biotin-positive clearing indicate CMV-PTC. Total thyroidectomy or lobectomy sporadic cases treatment It carries better prognosis than other aggressive variants carcinoma. In this review, we discuss current knowledge its clinical relevance.
