摘要: This study presents the development of a 3D numerical code for flow-sediment interactions with associated bed changes in free surface flows. To capture water-air interface, novel volume fluid (VOF) formulation is implemented using ghost method one-side extrapolation dynamic pressure. Equations flow and motion are decoupled due to separation time scales. Accordingly, step size can be increased by factor 3-orders magnitude still preserve stability computational efficiency. A finite area (FAM) utilized discretize Exner equation on irregular providing volume-like discretization curved surfaces. The evolution water-sediment interface captured vertex-based unstructured mesh solve Laplace operator variable diffusivity. foam-extend tested against two classical experiments. Good results obtained correct trends lower absolute error compared previous mobile models. shows that developed has good potential being applied mobile-bed hydraulic real problems.
