摘要: Background The aim of this study was to report the comparative clinical profiles and outcomes simple complex congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction (CNLDO). Methods The a retrospective chart review all patients presenting with CNLDO from single surgeon's (M.J.A.) database. All underwent irrigation probing under nasal endoscopic guidance. A detailed lacrimal system evaluation performed, intraoperative findings including endoscopy were documented, etiologies noted. Outcome measures profiles, anatomical success functional interventions. Statistical analyses performed using Shapiro-Wilk test, Fisher's exact Wilcoxon rank sum test. Results Ninety-five eyes 81 100 83 compared. The mean age at presentation 17.6 months in 45.6 cases (p < 0.001). Epiphora discharge most common symptoms; 89.4% among 92% group. causes bony obstructions (23%), craniofacial syndromes (12%), buried probe (10%). At follow-up 5.85 for 4.68 CNLDO, noted 97.8% 94.7%, respectively, 58% 51%, CNDLO 0.001). Conclusion Bony obstruction, syndrome, reasons commonly older children, having much poorer when compared simpler obstructions.
