摘要: Stylosanthes guianensis is a popular pasture legume and cover crop. The possessed strong allelopathic potential suppressed spontaneous growth of paddy weeds. In bioassay, aqueous extract S. remarkably inhibited germination barnyardgrass monochoria. Application 1 ton ha -1 upland parts significantly reduced weed biomass by 80 % increased rice yield 40 when compared with the control. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis reveals presence several allelochemicals in including phenolic acids, coumarin long-chain fatty acids. may be used as source natural herbicide for reducing dependency on synthetic herbicides agricultural production.
