摘要: Abstract Using chloroplasts from three different plant species in the presence of four buffer systems we found that P 2e ratio was consistently above 1.0 if pH between 8.4 and 9.4. At 8.9 usually 1.25 indeed no single determination fell below 1.1 at this unless Tris-HCl present. Even endogenous phosphorylation were subtracted (a procedure which is probably not valid) would yield a value as low 1.0. Consequently it seems very probable theoretical maximum efficiency photophosphorylation higher than has been thought.
