摘要: To assess the variability among histopathologists in diagnosing and grading cervical intraepithelial neoplasia eight experienced based at different hospitals examined same set of 100 consecutive colposcopic biopsy specimens assigned them into one six diagnostic categories. These were normal squamous epithelium, non-neoplastic proliferations, grades I, II, III, other. The given currently accepted criteria for asked to mark their degree confidence about decision on a visual linear analogue scale provided. agreement between was characterised by kappa statistics, which showed an overall poor (unweighted 0.358). Agreement observers excellent invasive lesions, moderately good grade I II 0.832, 0.496, 0.172, 0.175, respectively); value all taken together 0.660. most important source disagreement lay distinction reactive proliferations from I. confident III carcinoma (other) but not as glandular atypia (other). Experienced show considerable interobserver more importantly distinguishing It is suggested that three division should be abandoned borderline category introduced entails follow up without treatment.
