摘要: Dietary vitamin A is an essential precursor of tissue retinol which participates in a variety biological processes including innate immunity. Functions mainly depend on retinoic acid (RA) principally all‑trans‑ RA (atRA) and 9‑cis‑RA. We assessed whether atRA benefi cial host resistance against bacterial infections or not. Vitamin A‑defi cient (VAD) mice were highly susceptible to infection with Listeria monocytogenes. Pre‑treatment enhanced L. monocytogenes both VAD VAS mice. Interferon (IFN) ‑γ production pre‑treated was not higher compared the control The eff ect independent T cells B cells. bactericidal activity macrophages obtained from almost same level Our results demonstrated that treatment for early phase suggested new therapeutic possibility infections.
