摘要: The Oct-3 gene is expressed in highly undifferentiated cells and implicated mammalian early embryogenesis. We have generated a series of hybrid between pluripotent embryonal carcinoma (Oct-3+) fibroblasts (Oct-3-), studied the regulation function Oct-3. Upon fusion, differentiated to nestin+/Brn-2+ resembling neuroepithelial stem cells. Expression was extinguished at transcriptional level all examined. modulating activity required for Oct-3-mediated enhancer activation also extinguished. When transactivating introduced into cells, they transformed morphologically distinct nestin-/Brn-2- ('revertants'). 'revertant' subsequently lost expression, back close correlation phenotypic changes gain/loss indicates that can induce dedifferentiation neural
