摘要: Cathodoluminescence (CL) microscopy of Ni/cubic-ZrO2 nano–composites has been used to demonstrate the presence both secondary phases and compositional fluctuations within microstructure. X-ray microanalysis showed that in this material red CL emissions were generated from aluminium rich phases, blue originated silicon green associated with a monoclinic zirconia phase. In rapidly characterizing distribution density these impurities, technique proved be powerful versatile tool determination purity sintered pellets.
