Neurophysiological and psychological changes induced by certain drugs: II. Electrocortical changes.

摘要: Electroencephalographic records were studied in relation to the action of 4 drugs, adrenalin, mecholyl, cocaine, and sodium amytal, on normal subjects mental patients. Control experiments with saline injections also made. No significant changes mean wave frequency found no psychological obtained, except for a report slight excitement by one patient. In adrenalin experiments, decrease number waves was found, this being case psychoneurotic who reported return his anxiety symptoms; other found. mecholyl increases 3 7 cases; evaluation difficult because marked basic physiological reactions which drug induces.
