摘要: Glucans, called elicitors, isolated from cell walls of Phytophthora infestans, caused rapid agglutination and death protoplasts potato leaf tissue. Cells incubated with high concentrations elicitor were rapidly killed, but did not agglutinate. Agglutination occur any several commercial polysaccharides including laminarin, laminarin inhibit elicitor-mediated agglutination. The results are consistent the existence specific receptor sites on outer surface plasma membranes.
