摘要: AbstractThe oxidation process of Ti2AlC ceramics in dry synthetic air at 1200°C was monitored with thermogravimetry. The microstructural evolution the oxide scale time characterised by X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, microanalysis and back scattering diffraction. is comprised a continuous α-Al2O3 inner layer isolated coarse TiO2 particles on top. At early stage (roughly less than 0.5 h), are main reaction products, while longer times only leads to formation α-Al2O3. grains grow size upon high-temperature grain being uniform throughout thickness scale.
