摘要: Kathon CG, a cosmetics preservative containing, as active ingredients, 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, appears to be frequent cause of contact dermatitis in Europe. In the United States, where CG was introduced some 5 years later, use this system for toiletries is rapidly increasing. Undoubtedly cases sensitization will soon emerge country. Most allergy are caused by moisturizing creams on (slightly) damaged skin. Sensitization cosmetic products previously healthy skin, especially face, does occur but less frequent. Rinse-off do not seem have substantial potential induction elicitation allergic reactions because dilution product allergen with water well short time This review provides synopsis current knowledge emphasis risk diagnostic procedures.
