摘要: This paper examines the training and accreditation programs developed to support promotion of a skilled workforce small wind turbine (SWT) installers in Australia. The analysis contrasts nascent Australian experience against more mature SWT markets UK USA. research suggests that installer have necessary institutional structures required promote skill development essential growth, importantly prevent industry from creating its own version ‘Australian home insulation fire safety debacle’. Despite existing government capital subsidies availability accredited for installers, major limiting factor delivery has been minor market demand SWTs courses offered by institutions Australia is stark contrast concurrent developments USA, where there greater demand. Given right policy create both products can develop further with use experienced certified trainers, units strong practical components, material covers stand-alone grid-connected systems.
