摘要: Objectives/Hypothesis Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is rapidly gaining recognition as a primary modality of management in acute dacryocystitis and lacrimal abscess. The purpose the present study to report long-term outcomes powered endoscopic DCR cases dacryocystitis. Study Design Prospective interventional case series. Methods Twenty-one DCRs were performed 21 patients presenting with dacryocystitis. All operated by single surgeon (m.j.a.) using earlier published techniques. systems intubated for 6 weeks. A minimum follow-up 1 year after stent removal was considered final analysis. Main outcome measures anatomical functional success surgical procedure. Results The mean age at presentation 31.8 years. total 14.3% (3/21) pediatric known history persistent congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction (CNLDO), 9.5% (2/21) had external past. received postoperative antibiotics. Additional procedures included distal canalicular trephination, septoplasty, middle turbinoplasty one patient each. showed resolution pain swelling week follow-up. At 15.4 months, achieved 85.7% (18/21), 80.9% (17/21). Conclusion Powered useful dacryocystitis, good that are maintained over long duration time. Level Evidence 4. Laryngoscope, 2015
