摘要: We investigate the effect of a directional antenna in wireless sensor networks from perspective network lifetime extension. Previous studies on have assumed only an omni-directional model, since has been considered inappropriate for sensors due to size and cost constraints. In this sense, we propose mount designated gateway node, so called sink, which more energy computational power handle large volume data. With antenna, sink's communication range is extended hence number neighbor nodes increases. Since these relay data toward they tend deplete their quickly than other nodes. Directional Antenna at Sink (DAaS) prolongs by increasing sink. To realize DAaS, sink beam pattern scheduling algorithm, coordinates MAC layer wakeup/sleep schedules according antenna's schedule. The above algorithm minimizes duty-cycle saves Through extensive simulation experiments, observe significant improvement with DAaS as patterns
