[The experience of suffering: stories told by hospitalized children].

摘要: The objective of this study was to learn about the experience suffering in hospitalized school-aged children. methodological strategy used narrative inquiry, and Model Suffering as theoretical framework. Participants were 14 Data collection performed using semi-structured interviews, guided by following question: Tell me your story getting sick coming hospital. Results show that hospital events comprise child's suffering, represented five categories: knowing caused disease; enduring survive being ill, relaxing from free their emotions, living floating between suffering. or child is determined context support interactions surrounds them. In conclusion, nurses have duty offer children opportunities express themselves make bearable.
