摘要: UNLABELLED: This study assessed the impact of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on health-related quality life (HRQoL) children and adolescents, using both a generic disease-specific instrument. Three questionnaires were sent to all patients (8-18 y old) from database two large secondary/tertiary hospitals in western part The Netherlands. In total, 83 (66%) responded, 18 between 8 12 old remaining 65 older. HRQoL was measured instrument, TNO-AZL Children's Quality Life questionnaire (TACQOL), assessing seven domains, Impact-II (NL), instrument six domains. Disease activity by five-item symptom card. Compared with scores reference population (n= 1810), younger IBD had comparable (measured TACQOL) better cognitive functioning, although they did not have severely active disease. Adolescent significantly impaired four domains (body complaints, motor autonomy negative emotions). discriminated well varying states CONCLUSION: Adolescents affected HRQoL. Impairment functioning is threat gaining independence caregivers, high occurrence emotions places at risk for depressive behavioural disorders. recommended clinical use because its discriminative validity.
