摘要: Sevoflurane and propofol-based anesthetics are dosed according to vital signs, movement, expired sevoflurane concentrations, which do not assess the anesthetic state of brain and, therefore, risk underdose overdose. Electroencephalography (EEG) measures cortical activity can hypnotic depth, a key component state. Application propofol pharmacology along with EEG parameters more precisely guide dosing achieve desired for an individual pediatric patient. This article reviews principles underlying use in anesthesia offers case examples illustrate their patients.
