摘要: In this article we describe the use of bench-scale single-fiber dialyzers for development and testing an immobilized enzyme reactor treatment leukemia. The is based on enzymatic removal specific amino acids from blood leukemia patients. L-Lysine alpha-oxidase catalase were coimmobilized within void space porous region asymmetric hollow-fiber membranes L-lysine simulated human plasma solutions. Hollow-fiber performance was evaluated using a small dialyzer (SFD) consisting single fiber encased in protective glass shell. This affords ease use, requires amounts chemicals biochemicals, gives useful data. Single-fiber constructed polyamide fibers with molecular weight cutoff 10,000 (PA10 fibers); these demonstrated best compatibility retention enzymes. SFD removing solution under both steady pulsatile flow operation. Pulsatile tested two reasons: (1) to enhance radial mass transfer lysine (2) simulate dialysis treatment. increased conversion by 15% over steady-flow case. Approximately 40% removed 4-h experiment recycle mode.
