Statistical Mechanics of Hard Ellipsoids. I. Overlap Algorithm and the Contact Function

摘要: Abstract A contact function for two arbitrary ellipsoids is derived. The numerical value of the less than 1 if they overlap, and greater do not. This extends previous work by Vieillard-Baron, who derived an overlap criterion spheroids without use a function. equivalence criteria has been checked extensive test with spheroids. It shown that greatly facilitates calculation pressure in Monte Carlo simulations.
