Face Photo Recognition from Sketch Images Using HOG descriptors

摘要: In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for matching sketches with face-photo images. The proposed system extracts face photo from the database based on a query sketch drawn by artist using discriminating information present in facial regions represented as histogram of oriented gradients (HOG) feature descriptor. From training set consisting photo-faces, HOGs features are extracted and stored knowledge base. Given, sketch, computed compared against base applying KNN classifier retrieval best face. our study have considered photos frontal pose normal lighting neutral expression. No occlusions assumed. Experiments conducted CUHK student photos.
