Compliant alkali silicate sealing glass for solid oxide fuel cell applications: The effect of protective YSZ coating on electrical stability in dual environment

摘要: Abstract Recently, compliant sealing glass has been proposed as a potential candidate sealant for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) applications. In previous paper, the thermal stability and chemical compatibility were reported alkali-containing silicate sealed between anode supported YSZ bi-layer YSZ-coated stainless steel interconnect. this we will report electrical of under DC load dual environment at 700–800 °C. Apparent resistivity was measured with 4-ponit method two plain SS441 metal coupons or aluminized substrates. The results showed instability 800 °C, but stable behavior increasing time observed coated SS441. addition, interfacial microstructure analysis scanning electron microscopy be correlated results. Overall, coating demonstrated chemically field environments.
