摘要: Abstract A Bose–Einstein condensate (BEC) confined in a one-dimensional lattice under the effect of an external homogeneous field is described by Gross–Pitaevskii equation. Here we prove that such equation can be reduced, semiclassical limit and case with finite number wells, to finite-dimensional discrete nonlinear Schrodinger Then, means numerical experiments show BEC’s center mass exhibits oscillating behavior modulated amplitude; particular, period actually depends on shape initial wavefunction as well strength term. This fact opens question concerning validity method proposed for determination gravitational constant measurement period.
