Liquid-based cytology in diagnosing nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

摘要: BackgroundLiquid-based cytology (LBC) has achieved great success in cytological diagnosis of various cancers when compared with conventional smear methods. However, its application diagnosing nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) never been studied.MethodsEighty-four consecutive patients who underwent biopsy for suspicious NPC or a mass under nasopharyngoscopy were enrolled this prospective study.
