Prime-boost immunization with DNA, recombinant fowlpox virus and VLPSHIV elicit both neutralizing antibodies and IFNγ-producing T cells against the HIV-envelope protein in mice that control env-bearing tumour cells

摘要: Abstract Different primings with DNA and fowlpox virus (FP) recombinants or FP alone were used in a pre-clinical trial to evaluate compare immunogenicity efficacy against HIV/SHIV. Three immunization regimens tested three groups of mice which the SIV gag / pol HIV-1 env transgenes separately expressed by vectors, followed VLP SHIV boosting. All protocols effective eliciting homologous neutralizing antibodies, although immunized DNA + FP showed both high titres antibodies frequencies -specific IFNγ-producing T lymphocytes. Vaccine efficacy, as demonstrated growth control -expressing tumours, was obtained these two mice. These results establish preliminary profile for combined use recombinant vectors be SHIV-macaque model infection.
