摘要: The Late Paleozoic is considered to be an important stage in the evolution of Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB). Bogda Mountains, a northeastern branch Tianshan record complete history orogenic belt. tectonic and sedimentary west area timing initial uplift West Mountains were investigated based on detailed sedimentological study outcrops, including lithology, structures, rock isotopic compositions paleocurrent directions. At end Early Permian, Trough was closed island arc formed. subsidence center Middle Permian inherited that Permian. became catchment area, developed widespread shallow, deep then shallow lacustrine succession during Mid-Permian. Mid-Permian, strong intracontinental collision caused Mountains. Sedimentological evidence further confirmed rift basin Carboniferous-Early subsequently entered large-scale orogeny region.
