摘要: Sexually mature, male and female Sprague-Dawley rats were housed in large communal breeding cages or smaller paired cages. Virgin control of the same age similarly but segregated by sex. Breeders became obese, developed a fatty liver, showed elevated levels triglycerides, free acids, cholesterol. had high blood pressure, enlarged hearts, hyperglycemia, islet beta cell degranulation. Serum enzymes, creatine phosphokinase, serum glutamic oxalo-pyruvic transaminase, pyruvic lactate dehydrogenase, urea nitrogen breeder rats. The adrenal glands breeders appeared hyperactive; thrombosed to be hypoactive. Male microscopic aortic lesions only; advanced calcific sclerosis. kept active stud service manifested most abnormal metabolic pathophysiological changes. Female similar changes after four pregnancies, irrespective their environment. normal regardless housing conditions. Our findings suggest that repeated causes resetting hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-gonadal axis. This may lead disturbed hormonal which culminate with development accelerated cardiovascular degenerative
