摘要: Effects of a neurosteroid, 20-hydroxyecdysone (20-HE), on epileptic seizures spontaneously rat (SER: zi/zi, tm/tm), medial vestibular nucleus (MVN) neurons and GABA-induced currents in primarily cultured cortical were examined. 20-HE (10–50mg/kg) inhibited tonic convulsions SER without affecting the absence-like seizures. The inhibition was antagonized by pretreatment with bicuculline. rotation-induced firing MVN neuron microiontophoretically applied 20-HE. Similarly this Using whole-cell patch clamp method application U-tube system did not affect membrane potential, but potentiated hyperpolarization current at all potentials reversal potential approximately—18mV. These results suggest that acts GABAA receptor, probably modulatory site to inhibit seizure response neurons.
