摘要: ABSTRACT The middle ear epithelium is derived from neural crest and endoderm, which line distinct regions of the cavity. Here, we investigate distribution putative stem cell markers in ear, combined with an analysis location label-retaining cells (LRCs) to create a map mucosa. We show that proliferating LRCs were associated specific epithelium, concentrated hypotympanum at base auditory bulla around drum. Sox2 was widely expressed endodermally ciliated pseudostratified hypotympanum. This part showed high levels Wnt activity, as indicated by expression Axin2, readout signalling. Keratin 5 more restricted within basal this region, very little overlap between Sox2- keratin 5-positive indicating these genes mark populations. Little or observed crest-derived lined promontory, except cases otitis media when underwent hyperplasia. study lays foundation for furthering our understanding homeostasis repair ear.
