摘要: In order to assess the possible role of circulating immunoreactive inhibin (INH) during menopausal transition, two groups subjects were studied. Four normal volunteers, three whom had developed their first symptoms cycle irregularity at age 45-46 years, fourth being aged 37, a volunteer for study involving daily blood sampling found have transient rise in serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). Six patients with anovulatory infertility, 34-44 transitory ovarian failure attempts ovulation induction. Intermittent samples obtained radioimmunoassay FSH, luteinizing (LH), INH, oestradiol (E2), and progesterone. Abrupt changes observed, elevations FSH LH decreases INH E2 into postmenopausal range, followed by levels more characteristic reproductive-aged women. It was concluded that typical patterns may occur time entry some women but be completely relatively abruptly reversible. Elevation undetectable concentrations, does not provide reliable evidence menopause (or permanent failure) has occurred. contributes transition.
