摘要: The present work deals with a novel and attractive alternative process route for the production of cyclohexanol by indirect hydration cyclohexene using reactive distillation. proposed two-step comprises esterification formic acid followed hydrolysis formed ester. principle feasibility this new has recently been proved means residue curve analysis [Steyer et al. Ind. Eng. Chem. Res. 2008, 47, 9581−9587]. In contribution, detailed equilibrium stage simulations are performed to identify optimum design operating conditions coupled distillation column scheme. reveal that it is possible achieve almost complete conversion comparatively low amount catalyst. To best our knowledge, first time such an outstanding performance reported.
