摘要: Abstract In this work, we explore new parametric models of a sphere with rational Bezier patches. The geometry is represented as spherical tessellation various topologies. tiles are degeneracy-free surfaces, obtained using general composite mapping method. Five novel, topologically distinct tilings described, four which have conforming parameterizations. mesh the fifth tiling nonconforming despite having equal interface knot vectors (intrinsic nonconformity). We apply these novel geometries in three case studies that proposed benchmark problems for C 0 - and 1 -multipatch IGA methods.
