摘要: Systemic injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induces a robust immune response as well thermal and mechanical hyperalgesia. Spinal peripheral glial cells have been implicated important mediators in this hyperalgesia but the specific contributions microglia versus astrocytes are not entirely clear. To better define these mechanisms, study examined febrile response, nociceptive sensitivity, cell reactivity cytokine production dorsal root ganglion (DRG) spinal cord rats following systemic treatment with LPS effects minocycline countering responses. Intraperitoneal resulted an increase core body temperature produced to heat stimuli. Western blot studies revealed increased expression microgial cell, macrophage satellite markers DRG microglial astrocyte treatment. Real-time RT-PCR indicated that mRNA levels both cord. Minocycline suppressed all LPS-induced behavioral response. Moreover, prevented microglia/macrophage activation responses DRG, did affect astrocytes/satellite cells. These data demonstrate changes sensitivity likely mediated by and/or macrophages DRG.
