摘要: Individual differences in the cardiovascular response to stress play a central role reactivity hypothesis linking frequent exposure psychosocial adverse outcomes health. To assess importance of genetic factors, meta-analysis was performed on all published twin studies that assessed heart rate (HR) or blood pressure (BP) cold pressor test various mental tasks. For stress, pooled heritability estimate ranged from 0.26 0.43. Reactivity yielded estimates 0.21 0.55. An ensuing review association revealed number genes, mostly within sympathoadrenal pathway, may account for part reactivity. Future progress gene finding, should include measures sympathetic and vagal reactivity, help uncover molecular pathways variation
