摘要: We show that the electronic part of linear magnetoelectric response, usually omitted in first-principles studies, can be comparable magnitude to mediated by polar lattice distortions, even strong magnetoelectrics. Using a self-consistent response Zeeman field for noncollinear spins, we how polarization emerges magnetoelectrics through both and contributions---analogous high- low-frequency responses dielectrics. The approach use is computationally simple, used study nonlinear magnetic fields.
