摘要: Abstract An investigation into the pyrolysis kinetics of PVC mixed with electric arc furnace dust (EAFD) was performed. Mixtures both materials varying ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3) were prepared and pyrolyzed in a nitrogen atmosphere under dynamic heating conditions at different rates (5, 10, 30 50 °C/min). The process proceeded through two main decomposition steps; first step involved release HCl which reacted metal oxides present dust, subsequently forming chlorides water vapor. Benzene also found to as detected by TGA–MS. remaining hydrocarbons polymer backbone decomposed further second releasing volatile hydrocarbons. Different models used fit kinetic data namely integral, Van Krevelen, Coats Red fern methods. presence EAFD during resulted considerable decrease activation energy reaction occurring region.
