摘要: Moving to a speech rhythm can enhance verbal processing in the listener by increasing temporal expectancies (Falk and Dalla Bella, 2016). Here we tested whether this hypothesis holds for prosodically diverse languages such as German (a lexical stress-language) French non-stress language). Moreover, examined relation between motor performance benefits function of language. Sixty-four participants, 32 native speakers detected subtle word changes accented positions metrically structured sentences which they previously tapped with their index finger. Before each sentence, were cued metronome tap either congruently (i.e., syllables) or incongruently non-accented parts) following stimulus. Both words better when compared incongruent tapping. Detection was predicted participants' non-verbal cueing phase. tapping rate while participants detection differently two language groups, particular condition. We discuss our findings light rhythmic differences both respect recent theories expectancy-driven multisensory processing.
