摘要: The Frizzled proteins (FZDs) are a family of trans-membrane receptors that play pivotal roles in Wnt pathways and thus animal development. Based on evaluation the Amphimedon queenslandica genome, it has been proposed two Fzd genes may have present before split between demosponges other animals. major purpose this study is to go deeper into evolution by evaluating an extended set available data from bilaterians, cnidarians, different basally branching lineages (Ctenophora, Placozoa, Porifera). provides evidence last common ancestor metazoans did possess genes, cnidarians bilaterians possessed four Fzd. Furthermore, amino acid analyses revealed accurate diagnostic motif for these FZD subfamilies facilitating assignation paralogs each subfamily. By highlighting conserved acids subfamily, our could also provide framework further research precise mechanisms driven neo-functionalization.
