摘要: Background: Lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injections (TFESIs) are procedures often utilized in the treatment of radicular pain. TFESIs with a preganglionic approach have been reported to be more effective than performed using classic approach. However, it is unknown whether retrodiscal as other approaches. Objective: To investigate effect an injection (ESI) on pain, we conducted randomized, controlled trial comparing treat lumbar disc herniation. Design: A case control study. Methods: Forty patients were randomized receive either (n=20) or (n=20). Measurements taken before well 4 and 8 weeks after visual analog scale (VAS) score, Patient Satisfaction Index (PSI) Roland 5-point pain score. Results: In group, there was statistically significant improvement VAS score compared baseline. There no difference PSI, between those treated approache Limitations: Secondary outcomes not measured study did include midor long-term follow-up period. Conclusion: this study, had similar effects The resulted equivalent relief. .
